Programme Overview

The Department of Home Affairs, in collaboration with PSETA, is offering a 12-month Cadet Learnership Programme for unemployed youth who have obtained Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.

The programme combines theoretical and practical learning and is intended to provide participants with skills, knowledge and workplace experience. Learners will be exposed to the Department's core business, including Immigration Services.

Preference may be given to applicants who live close to the office where the placement is based. Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend for the duration of the programme.

Requirements

I'd make the requirements a separate section:

  • Must be an unemployed youth.
  • Must have Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
  • Applicants should apply for the appropriate location and reference number.
  • A completed New Z83 Application for Employment Form, effective from 1 January 2021, is required.
  • A comprehensive CV must be submitted.
  • The CV should include employment dates, job titles, duties performed and reasons for leaving previous employment.
  • At least two contactable employment references should be provided.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to provide a copy of their ID and Grade 12 certificate.
  • Applicants with foreign qualifications must provide SAQA-evaluated results.
  • Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment screening and security checks.

Application information

This is particularly important because there isn't one single application email. The supplied advert gives different email addresses according to province.
